I think he was referring to Woodland surprising people at state last year, not comparing the two routines this year.  Huh

I just don't think you can compare all the divisions fairly. A and AA don't have as many students as the larger schools, they have to pick 16 girls from 400 to 700 people whereas Mill Creek, Grayson, Collins Hill, etc.(just as an example) has 3,000 students to pick from. Also COED is weak but they have an unfair advantage too. They could be an A school or a AAAAA school but they all get thrown into the coed mix but that is the coaches decision in the end- either state suicide or a blessing, hey it worked for Chestatee because normally they are AAA. I just think that AA schools like Calhoun, Dawson, North Oconee, Pepp, Pierce and A schools like Commerce, Trion, Brookstone, Sav Christian, etc don't have as much to work with but they still look decent compared to the larger schools. They might not be able to hold their own but Calhoun and Commerce both had good scores, maybe not the tumbling ability but they had clean, tight, well-executed routines. They might not be able to beat Johns Creek, Columbus, Northside Columbus, etc but they would stack right behind them if they competed AAA.

That's what I was trying to say on another post where people are comparing A and AA schools to AAAAA schools.  You just can't do it.  Do you know that Pepp only had 14 girls try out for the squad this year? 14 and they ended up with 16 pretty amazing girls who took 2nd place at regions, 1st at sectionals and 2nd at State.   I think that's pretty awesome.

i agree! AA teams do not have as much to choose from as other schools. Pepperell and many more made what they had work, and they worked it well!:]

I disagree. Calhoun has enough girls to choose from that you have to have a standing tuck to make the squad. Thats not limited. LOL

Thats one school in all of A and AA. So you can't base it on 1 school, sorry. Plus they didn't all have standing tucks anyways. Didn't you see the fakers? Go watch it again.

it is so hard to compare divisons.. this year the first place teams from 4 and 3a outscored everyone else. but its so subjective it's just hard to say where the most competiton is
