Question for Sean:

In a basket, is it legal for the spotter to switch positions?

Like they throw the girl, and then when they catch the right base becomes the front spot?

(does that make sense?)

If I'm following you correctly then I think that should be legal.  I know you can throw a kick-full or a kick-double and the back spot becomes a side (only the flyer turns).  So I don't see why your scenario would be any different.  I think it only becomes illegal if you didn't have someone in the spotter position, such as having a person actually leave the group. I don't think it matters if a base becomes a spot or vice versa.
