They did not have a grand champion in the 2nd session for JV, 4A, and Co-Ed.

I thought that was weird too!  The only thing I can think of is that they called the 1st place winner in each division the Grand Champion and some people confused that with an actual Grand Champion of the whole competition.  But I'm not sure...I wasn't there for the 1st session.
