Title: Rules Question
Post by: gacheermom on October 27, 2015, 08:08:51 AM
Are there rules/restricitons concerning an all-star coach also being a community coach?  I looked on the GHSA set and could not find any specific rules.

As long as the all star coach doesn't "double dip," meaning that he/she cannot coach the same kids at both school and all star cheer, it's allowed, as long as the all star coach has completed the community coaching requirements.

Thanks.

I guess teams can get away with it by not listing the all-star coach as an "official" community coach.

I'm sure this happens; unfortunately, not everyone follows the rules, nor do they get caught when they break the rules.

Is this something that GHSA actually enforces or is it just on the books and people choose to look the other way because all-star teams have such a big impact on GHSA?
