Would be interested to know!

I know this type of year we get a lot of guests to view the board but a lot of knowledgeable people will not sign up to post comments.  We need more people to offer their insight so this can be a growing place to discuss the current state of GHSA cheer!  All in good fun!

I was just viewing Winder's performance at The Mill Creek competition.  In the stunt sequence after the flyer does a back handspring into the arms of her bases with her hands on the ground..  Is it legal, or illegal that the back spotter/bases grab under her foot and the group tosses her to an extended stunt while all bases have their hands under the flyers foot?  It just looks funny to me??

According to NFHS rules: Rule 2-4-6
"In stunts that require a spotter (which in this stunt the backspot is the primary spotter), a spotter must not: a)grasp the sole of the top person's foot. b) Grasp the bases's(s) hand(s) under the top person's foot."

Looking at this rule.  At least two of the stunts have an illegal hold.  They may have received just a warning being early in the season but they are illegal.  This is the same thing that cost Whitewater a place at region.

Hope this helps!
