Title: Best place to take pictures?
Post by: Cheermom on November 08, 2016, 12:46:36 PM
I know we cannot video or use flash photography.  However I couldn't remember if there was a parent viewing area somewhere close to the stage at State to take pictures by friends and family.  Otherwise... is there a preferred area that people have found they liked to sit or walk to in order to get some good pictures?  Hoping to try to get some good ones and find a way to put my camera in my purse because they said no backpacks or large bags this year.

There is no parent area inside the Civic Center.  As to video, all they can do is ban actual recording devices.  Most cameras have a movie function.  Unless it has a recording light on it, they really can't do anything.

My best suggestion for taking pictures would be to find some open seats behind the judges and the mat.  Given how far the seats are from the floor, you'd likely need a good lens for your camera to zoom in.
