Any ideas for AAAA top 16? top 6?
-
1. Carrollton
2. Cartersville
3. Whitewater
4. Veterans
5. & 6. There are a handful of teams that could grab these spots.
From what I have seen Carrollton is the only AAAA team that maxes out all of the DOD categories, so they are the only team truly starting with a full 300 possible score. When they hit they are hard to beat. Cartersville doesn't max out running tumbling, Whitewater does max out standing and running tumbling, and Veterans doesn't max out either so they are all starting behind in total points possible. But on any given day, with a mistake by Carrollton, then Cartersville, Whitewater, and Veterans could grab the top spot. Hopefully all will hit their routines at State!

last time i saw Vets they maxed out standing, but not running.

At region they only threw 2 out of 3 standing through to fulls because one of their fulls is a repeater. So technically they do not max.

Pike should be 5th or 6th if they hit!

I agree...they keep growing! That would be a strong finish IMO for them considering the top is very tough competition.

Weird, just a few weeks ago they had 3 girls throw fulls in standing.
Do full to fulls only count as 2? If someone throws a 2 to full twice does only one count?

In the GHSA world of cheerleading you are not allowed to recycle a tumbler within the same section. This would be for running and standing. So if an athlete performs a skill in the same series it counts. If the perform a skill, stop, and reperform a skill, you are technically recycling the athlete. For standing, a standing full and a handspring to full are considered the same thing under the rubric.
In the routine, the middle girl performs the standing full, performs the jump series, then throws the handspring full down the middle. She has performed twice under the same category. The girl on the left performs a full and the girl on the right performs a layout. This is recycling within the same category.
Their running tumbling they also only have 7 girls that perform a Handspring Tuck or more which should technically place them in a 5 DOD as well regardless of the amount of running fulls. Because they only perform Round Off Tucks with Total team -4. A 6 category would be Total Team -2 Handspring Tucks and the additional needed elements. **EDIT** I have reviewed the film and stand corrected. Veterans has updated their running tumbling to include the handspring tucks in running tumbling which fulfills the 6 DOD. Thanks friend for clarifying... She understands the issues I had viewing the film :) :)
